- Georgia law (Rabies Control Law-O.C.G.A. -31- 19) requires that all owned dogs and cats be vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian using approved vaccines in accordance with the national Compendium of Animal Rabies Prevention and Control.
- If your pet had a vaccine reaction to a rabies vaccine in the past, we can administer an antihistamine and a steroid injection prior to the vaccine and give a 3 year vaccine.
- If your pet was vaccinated at a different veterinary clinic, we will need to have the records from that clinic or the Rabies certificate to update our records. If this cannot be provided by the time of the visit, we will need to administer a rabies vaccination.

Appointment Prepayments
Download Pre-Payment Agreement here.
We require Pre-payments for New Clients, appointments for 2 pets, and other certain types of appointments.
We get excited by the hope of taking a long walk with you and your pet…together!
For the pre-payment, we will charge your credit card (or receive other form of payment) to secure the appointment.
Such fee will be applied against the cost of professional services for your pet’s surgery or general appointment (except for Failed Appointments as described below).
When a client fails to show for an appointment, ultimately costs are increased for
everyone and the waiting list is not any shorter. Taking appointment pre-payments is one way we can help keep down costs for our clients and help us focus on caring for our patients.
To reschedule or cancel an appointment, please do so at least 48 business hours prior to your
scheduled appointment by calling (706) 638-3507.
However, PLEASE NOTE, in the case of a Failed Appointment *, the pre-payment will be charged out as a “failed appointment fee” and, therefore, unavailable to be applied to cost of future services. A new prepayment will then be required for scheduling new appointments.
(* Failed Appointment = failure to show for an appointment &/or failure to reschedule or cancel
an appointment at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.)
Although we prefer at least 48-hour notice, if the appointment is rescheduled or cancelled at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled time slot, the pre-payment will remain as a credit on the account and may be applied to future costs.
Thank you for the upcoming opportunity to serve you and care for your pet…together!Payment Options

Prescription Policies
General Prescriptions:
Our priority concerning prescriptions is to make sure your pet gets the correct medication with correct instructions on the label. In accordance with Georgia State law a licensed veterinarian must have performed a physical examination within the last 12 months in order to legally prescribe medication (NOTE: This INCLUDES Prescription Flea, Tick and Heartworm preventatives). Even if the animal was physically examined within the last 12 months, the veterinarian may require a new physical examination if they deem it best for the animal (i.e. the symptoms are new or different).
Obtaining Prescriptions:
Obtaining prescriptions elsewhere besides our clinic (i.e. online or another pharmacy): When you order a prescription medication online or another pharmacy and list our clinic as your pet’s primary care veterinarian, we receive emailed or call-in prescription requests. Unfortunately, due to the volume of these we receive each day, our staff will no longer process these requests. We want to help you get what your pet needs and are happy to provide you with a written prescription which you must request 24 hours in advance and pick up at our office at your convenience.
