Hey there! My name is Dr. Jeremy Collins. I serve as veterinarian and owner of LaFayette Animal Clinic. I earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2007. I have worked in the veterinary industry since 1998.
I have practiced as a veterinarian in Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama my entire career. I worked as a mixed animal (large and small animals) practitioner for the first several years out of school but have focused exclusively on small animal care for most of my career. I believe building a healthy culture for our clients and our staff creates better care for our patients. I enjoy general medicine and surgery as well as preventative healthcare. I enjoy learning the personalities of each patient and doing my best to reduce their stress level at the clinic and elsewhere if needed. I enjoy seeing the bond between people and their pets played out in real life…the good, the bad, the fun and the sad. Yes, there are difficult situations at times, but my staff and I are thankful for the opportunity to work through those with our clients and patients.
I am also the Founder and President of Three Circles Foundation. I founded the organization in 2009 in response to a calling that Jesus placed on my heart to help safe people build supportive relationships with teenage boys in single or no-parent homes.
When I am not at work you might find me doing something (anything!) outdoors. I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, camping, blacksmithing, gardening or foraging for edible wild plants and dreaming big dreams.
I live in Summerville, Georgia with my wife (who is amazing 100% of the time) and my three kiddos (who are amazing 90% of the time).
I look forward to taking a long walk with you and your pet…together!
Until then, I hope you truly enjoy any critter the Lord has entrusted to you!
